A few quid left!

Having added all the vouchers up and made the big purchase of the freezer, we had a few quid left to spend.

This was perfect timing as our old kettle gave up the ghost.

We then had a few quid left which was enough to buy this new blender.

Thanks all once again for your generous gifts.

Yet More gifts!

Our most recent acquisition on the wedding presents front, comes courtesy of many friends and family members who gave us Argos gift vouchers as a wedding present : A brand new Upright Freezer.
We combined them to make this large purchase, and in no particular order, we would like to thank the following people:
"Les & Jean", "Brian & Christine Black", "Tony, Silvi & Chad Bishop", "Aby & Family", "Nigel, Sam & Paris", "Viv & Bob", "Alison, Tom , Nev & Lucy", Jan, Lesley, Laura and Sam at Christopher Harris & Co, and last but by no means least "Emma Justin Rebecca & Eleanor".

All we need to do now, is wait for payday, so we can start to fill the freezer with goodies.

Thank you all so much

Love Mr & Mrs Lewis.

Thanks to Neil for this very useful kitchen chopper set.
This will be well used.

Thanks to Anita & Michael, for some much needed new towels.
These will replace the ones I got from the Marriott many years ago!

Thanks also to Dawn, for the lovely bath sheets. I think we have enough towels now!

A few rooms left at the Royal

Popped in there this afternoon to check on room availability, and there are still 3 twin rooms and 1 double room available!

If you want a single room, they may let you have a twin at single room rate.

Be sure to mention you are attending the "Lewis" wedding.

See you all soon.

Staying at the Royal Hotel ?

Welcome back to the wedding blog.

If you are booking into the Royal Hotel, I guess you may be concerned by the lack of parking space.

If that's the case, there is no need to worry. At the rear of the hotel is the Swallows Leisure Centre , which has a large car park next to it. The parking is free after 6.00pm and before 8.00am, so in the morning you will need to pop out and "Pay & Display" before returning to the comfort of your room. The hotel will obviously not accept any liability for any damage etc, but the car park is covered with CCTV cameras.

Hope that helps.

Tempus Fugit

I can still hear Grandad saying it now!

Less than 3 weeks to go now, and can't believe how much still to organise.

If you're planning on stopping over, remember to book up as soon as you can.

We've added the Trafalgar Hotel to the list, it's a pub B&B just a stones throw from where we live. As its a pub, there is a No Children policy, so bear that in mind.

Looking forward to seeing you all soon.

Where are you going to stay ? 07.12.08

So you've decided you can make it - brilliant!

All you need now, is somewhere to stay.

Well, we've started putting a list together, which can be found further down the blog.

I cant personally recommend any particular place, though I have been told the Abbey Hotel is about the best on the island! The Royal Hotel has just recently been voted Sheerness Pub/Hotel of 2008. I'll let you choose. (The latter is cheaper of the 2 ).

Next job for us, is to gather information on more B&B's, which we'll add to the blog as and when we can.

Looking forward to seeing you all.
